Born from a deep love and passion for Hip-Hop & RnB music, YHUNG DAMAREYA exists at the intersection of intensely raw storytelling and the modern, polished production of Larkin Street and his own expertise. Growing up in San Francisco's Bay Area, YHUNG DAMAREYA was shaped by his family’s connection in church, the power of gospel and beats of old-style Hip-Hop. He also takes inspiration from Rod Wave, J.cole, 2Pac and Kirk Franklin. He uses this intimate relationship with music to create an authentic portrayal of his life, channeling his struggles with depression into the soulful sound he’s known for. His goal is to refine his artistry and build his audience to make space for his heart to help those whose stories mirror his own.

I founded Rhizomatic Arts to provide affordable professional consulting, training, and services to independent creatives and small companies. Rhizomatic Arts takes a holistic approach to creative sustainability, supporting the cultural eco-system on a grassroots, person-to-person level, empowering artists to take charge of their own careers within a supportive network of peers. Our Sustainability Network connects creatives with skills and resources to share, via a mutually-supportive gift economy. Our motto: "work independently, not alone."
